What does rent reporting cost?

The monthly price is incomplete. Add setup or lookback fees and multiply the subscription by the full time you plan to use it.

The short answer

Total service cost equals setup or lookback fees plus every monthly fee. Ask for landlord reporting first because it may avoid a separate charge.

  • Use the same time period for every service comparison.
  • Count any one-time fee for adding prior rent.
  • Do not assign a dollar value to score points no one can predict.
  • The catch: paying longer does not ensure a lender uses the tradeline.
Rung does not rank providers on this page. The analysis follows our editorial policy and keeps provider terms out of category guidance.
The formula

Turn the subscription into one number

Total cost = setup or lookback fee + (monthly fee × months)

Use zero when the landlord or platform charges nothing. Do not add a score value to the result.

Worked example

A $25 setup fee plus $5 for 12 months

Illustration only. Replace the figures with current service terms.

Monthly fees$60$5 × 12
Total cost$85$25 + $60

The tradeoff

The fee buys reporting, not a result

Decision rule

Pay only when the bureau coverage is clear, your file needs payment history, and the full-period cost is worth the limited chance that a future score uses it.
